Responsibilities
- Present a professional image of Integris in attitude, communications, and appearance, while fostering a cooperative, team oriented working relationship with others.
- Serve as an HR point of contact for employees and managers regarding policies, benefits, and performance and attendance issues (FMLA, ADA, etc.), partnering with the Director of HR on more complex matters.
- Participate in the recruiting process including job postings, ads, interview question development, screening applications, advising managers on candidate selection, and analyzing exit interviews, with primary focus on production departments.
- Use official company communication channels for all HR-related communications, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Maintain professional boundaries with all employees, keeping interactions work-focused and appropriate.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a system-wide onboarding plan that orients, develops, and trains new hires and promoted staff.
- Provide oversight of the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, development, performance, and separation, ensuring accurate handling of PII.
- Participate in open enrollment discussions with the HR department and maintain knowledge of benefit offerings, enrollment processes, and employee assistance programs to answer inquiries and assist new hires.
- Manage 401(k): adding new hires, maintaining records, uploading contributions, and supporting the annual 401(k) audit.
- Assist with Deferred Comp: maintaining records, planning training, and processing open enrollment.
- Assist with HR related audits as required, including reporting of financial data.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Employee Handbook, Organizational Policies, and Performance Management processes to ensure content is compliant and aligned with Integris standards.
- Advise managers on employee relations issues and HR best practices in handling them.
- Assist with employment law regulatory requirements and notifications across multiple states.
- Participate in HR projects such as engagement initiatives, events, surveys, training, and organizational development.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, building networks, and participating in professional societies to stay current in HR practice.
- Process payroll, benefits, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Collect and analyze HR metrics to support decision making.
- Assist in maintaining HR documents and charts as determined by department needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of HR experience (generalist or specialist roles).
- HR certification and regular continuing education in areas of employment law strongly preferred (HRCI, aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll/benefits administration.
- Experience with analyzing HR metrics, dashboards, and reports.
- Aptitude to recognize multi-state employment laws and regulations that impact employees outside Ohio.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
