Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist provides day-to-day HR support at the Jane Lew, WV site and acts as a reliable point of contact for both managers and employees. In partnership with site leadership and the broader HR team, this role helps deliver core HR services across the employee lifecycle while supporting operational and business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Plant Leadership to align HR strategies with operational goals, ensuring workforce plans support production, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to coach and train supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Plant Leadership to identify people-related risks, such as turnover, engagement concerns, and leadership gaps, and implement targeted action plans to reduce impact.
  • Support leaders through change management initiatives, reinforcing consistent communication and workforce adoption.
  • Model strong HR leadership to reinforce company values and promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage employee relations investigations, ensuring consistent, fair, and compliant handling in accordance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting, including workforce planning, talent sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and OSHA.
  • Support compensation and benefits administration, including employee communications and resolution of related issues.
  • Participate in and lead HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or a multi-site environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters and conduct investigations.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret data and provide recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred.

Compensation and Work Model

This is a full-time, on-site position in Jane Lew, WV. The salary range is USD 70,000 to 99,000 per year. Compensation reflects labor costs across U.S. geographic markets, and starting pay may vary based on factors including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
