Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist at Acupath Laboratories, Inc. supports the full employee lifecycle on an onsite basis in Plainview, New York. The position focuses on operational HR execution, regulatory compliance, and employee-facing guidance across onboarding, benefits, leaves, payroll, and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle onboarding, including new hire documentation, required trainings, and onboarding integration.
• Administer and maintain employment eligibility compliance, including E-Verify processes.
• Process and review payroll for accuracy while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
• Support multi-state payroll tax requirements and associated administration.
• Coordinate with finance and third-party vendors to support timely tax filings.
• Partner with benefits broker(s) to manage benefit program administration for health, dental, and vision.
• Handle ACA-related administration, including preparation and distribution of 1095-C forms.
• Oversee 401(k) plan administration, including enrollment, contributions, and compliance testing.
• Administer employee leaves, including FMLA and SDBL.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims.
• Respond to unemployment claims in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review, update, and implement company policies and procedures in alignment with applicable legal requirements.
• Provide HR guidance to employees and managers to support a positive work environment.
• Conduct investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate actions when necessary.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records.
• Work directly with the executive team to implement HR best practices for the organization.

Requirements

• Experience in human resources management, including prior exposure to HR program development, employee relations, and performance management.
• Knowledge of employment law, including FMLA regulations, OSHA standards, labor contracts, and workers’ compensation procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Paycom experience is a plus.

Compensation and Location

Location: Plainview, NY (onsite)
Salary: USD 70,000 to 80,000 per year
