Job Description
Marion County is seeking a Human Resources Labor Counsel (Attorney) to provide labor and employment law support for its human resources and people operations needs. This onsite position is based in Salem, Oregon and centers on advising and negotiating in matters related to workforce and employment issues.
Role Overview
The Human Resources Labor Counsel will focus on labor and employment law. Key duties include negotiation and related legal support to help the County manage employment matters effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle labor and employment law matters aligned with human resources needs
- Perform negotiation responsibilities as part of employment-related legal work
Required Qualifications
- Oregon State Bar membership in good standing at the time of appointment
- Five years of legal practice with significant experience in labor and employment law, including negotiation responsibilities
- Acceptable equivalent background through any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County
Preferred Qualifications
- Public sector experience or representation preferred

Compensation
This role offers an hourly wage range of $63.59 to $85.16.
