Job Description

Dynabrade Inc is seeking a senior HR leader to guide the company’s human resources function at our Clarence, New York site. The role partners with executive leadership to shape HR strategy that aligns with manufacturing objectives, fosters a positive workplace culture, ensures compliance with employment laws, and builds programs to attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent.

Location: Clarence, NY onsite. Salary: USD 120,000 - 130,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Design and roll out HR policies, procedures, and leading practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
  • Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and employment practices.
  • Champion the company values, culture, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Drive ongoing process improvement within the HR function.
  • Create recruiting strategies for manufacturing, engineering, technical, administrative, and professional roles.
  • Direct recruitment activities, including interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Foster partnerships with staffing agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations.
  • Ensure effective onboarding for new hires.
  • Investigate workplace concerns and resolve employee relations issues with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Support managers in disciplinary matters and performance management.
  • Ensure consistent enforcement of company policies.
  • Oversee the administration of performance evaluations.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs and monitor market competitiveness.
  • Oversee payroll processing and regulatory compliance.
  • Support retirement program administration.
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, workers' compensation, COBRA, HIPAA, and applicable New York and multi-state employment laws.
  • Maintain employment records and required reporting.
  • Support ISO 9001 compliance initiatives.
  • Oversee identification of training needs and coordinate employee development.
  • Support safety training in coordination with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports.
  • Maintain confidential personnel records.
  • Provide strategic oversight of safety and health programs in partnership with EHS and operations leadership.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Administer workers' compensation.
  • Supervise HR staff, manage the department budget, and provide coaching and performance management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field is required.
  • Five to ten years of progressive HR experience, including three to five years in HR leadership.
