Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will lead HR for the Somerville plant, balancing hands-on people support on the production floor with site leadership on compliance, staffing, and workforce stability.

Responsibilities

• Own employee relations: manage investigations, support performance management, and handle discipline
• Lead plant change management, including rollout of new policies, processes, and systems to supervisors and employees
• Direct hiring and onboarding, including management of temporary staffing partners
• Administer employee leave and support accommodations
• Manage workers’ compensation and unemployment claim processes
• Ensure TOSHA compliance, maintain required recordkeeping, and support plant safety programs
• Serve as backup for weekly payroll in partnership with the Payroll and Benefits Administrator
• Provide turnover, attendance, and safety reporting for plant leadership
• Coach supervisors and supervise site HR staff

Requirements

• 3+ years as an HR Manager with direct reports
• 5+ years of HR generalist experience
• Ability to run weekly payroll independently when needed
• Working knowledge of OSHA or TOSHA requirements

Preferred

• UKG or Kronos experience (strongly preferred)
• Experience leading change in a manufacturing environment
• Tennessee HR experience and knowledge of Tennessee employment law
• Manufacturing experience, ideally in the Memphis area
• PHR, SHRM CP, or higher certification

Work Environment

• On-site role split between office and manufacturing floor
• Requires walking the plant regularly
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Pay

• From $85,000.00 per year
