Job Description

This onsite role in Joliet, IL supports Prime Healthcare Management's corporate team by conducting investigations, serving as an HR policy expert, and coaching department heads to resolve employee relations issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex workplace investigations into concerns such as harassment, hostile work environment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of confidentiality, and related claims.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Provide support to department heads and staff to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Offer coaching and counseling to department heads on training, corrective action and performance improvement, terminations, investigations, and employee complaints or grievances.
  • Complete assigned special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of HR experience focused on employee relations and workplace investigations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment law.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Must obtain Sexual Harassment certification within six months and maintain biennially.
  • Ability to travel required.
