Job Description

The Human Resources Specialist partners with the Director of Human Resources to deliver employee support and advance organizational objectives through effective HR practices. This on-site role is based in Charlotte, NC, with an hourly compensation range of USD 18 to 24.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of recruitment, including posting roles, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and providing hiring recommendations.
  • Oversee new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee files.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics as needed.
  • Support additional HR administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Translate verbal and written communications for Spanish speaking employees and staff.
  • Remain current on applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Assist with the performance management process by administering performance evaluations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish; reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in both languages is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the Human Resources field or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Innovative and comfortable operating autonomously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with HRIS software, MS Office Suite, Adobe Pro, and related tools.
