Recruiter

QBE is seeking a Recruiter to help shape and carry out its talent acquisition strategy. This hybrid role in Chicago, IL focuses on sourcing and pipeline building, managing recruitment activities, and supporting a strong candidate experience from application through onboarding.

In this position, you will use sourcing expertise to align candidates with business hiring needs, serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the process, and contribute to continuous improvement across recruitment practices. You will also help strengthen QBE’s external talent presence through ongoing market communication.

Role focus

• Use sourcing expertise to narrow the applicant pool and recommend candidates who meet hiring needs and business requirements.
• Manage sourcing channels to maximize usage of sourcing-related services.
• Serve as a resource to candidates by explaining the hiring process and sustaining interest in the organization.
• Provide an exceptional candidate experience from application through onboarding.
• Optimize the external network by maintaining a visible market profile and fostering ongoing communication with prospective candidates.
• Support end-to-end talent acquisition by sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates to build effective talent pipelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve sourcing and recruitment practices.
• Research alternative sourcing methods and recommend changes to strengthen talent acquisition.

Requirements

• Some relevant work experience.
• A Tertiary Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred experience

• Talent Acquisition and recruitment experience from Agency, in-house, or RPO.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.
• Experience as sourcer, researcher, or recruiter in-house, RPO, or agency.
• Experience conducting competency-based interviews.
• Experience with advanced internet searches, cold calling, networking, database mining, referrals, and other recruitment techniques.
• Experience implementing and executing sourcing activities across different levels and roles.
• Experience sourcing and building pipelines for different levels and roles.
• Experience managing and partnering with recruitment vendors to execute a sourcing strategy.

Compensation

• Salary range: $64,000 - $105,500 per year.
• Regular full-time and part-time employees may also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan, based on business and individual performance.
