As a Talent Acquisition Recruiter in San Diego, you’ll partner closely with HR and hiring managers to support the day-to-day hiring needs of a business unit. The role emphasizes proactive recruiting, building qualified and diverse applicant pipelines, and using data to inform management on recruitment and retention outcomes. This position also involves clear communication of company policies and procedures and serving as a key first point of contact for HR-related questions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operations to manage full-cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, scheduling, conducting reference and background checks, and extending approved offers.
  • Draft employment ads and select external recruiting sources such as newspapers and college career services to attract qualified applicants.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies including advertising campaigns, job fairs, and school programs.
  • Analyze recruitment and retention results and provide reporting to management.
  • Identify potential employee relations issues and notify operational management, HR management, and Legal as appropriate.
  • Communicate and explain company policies and procedures to managers and employees, serving as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and statistics; share developing trends with HR management.
  • May prepare separation paperwork and collect required documentation and company property from terminated employees.
  • May coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding programs; maintain confidential documents and employee files, and track applicants and supporting documentation.
  • Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field
  • Three to five years of experience
  • Travel as needed

Work setup and physical requirements

This role is onsite in San Diego, CA. The physical demands are categorized as sedentary work, involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing. The role may require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
