This Temporary HR Business Partner location focuses on optimizing human resources practices across assigned districts and departments, serving as a trusted expert on policies, employment laws, and HR best practices to support management and associates.
Responsibilities
- Advise management on performance management actions, including coaching, counseling, career development, and appropriate corrective steps.
- Provide day to day coaching to management on employee relations matters.
- Receive, investigate as needed, and resolve team member concerns in the best interest of individuals and the organization.
- Handle complex employment relations issues with a focus on conflict resolution.
- Oversee personnel actions and performance reviews aligned with payroll processing.
- Partner with leaders to ensure HR strategy aligns with overall business goals.
- Analyze HR trends and metrics with the HR team to develop policies and programs.
- Oversee unemployment benefit activity for assigned areas and manage related claims.
- Lead and participate in positive cultural development and employee engagement initiatives.
- Guide leadership on assessment, performance management, and succession planning for their teams.
- Coordinate with Donated Goods Retail and Workforce Development for training and life needs of team members.
- Assist with training assessment and delivery.
- Maintain and communicate HR policies and procedures, supporting updates as needed.
- Participate in recruitment campaigns and new hire orientation to support a robust candidate pipeline.
- Provide routine HR statistics, analyses, and reports as requested.
- Travel to work locations with reliable transportation as required.
- Contribute to a rotating on call schedule as part of the HR support team.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support evolving organizational needs.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of personality types.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaborative and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work at all levels within the organization.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment; visa sponsorship is not offered.
