Job Description

Support the Waukesha/Milwaukee employee group by owning core HR operations across recruiting, relations, compliance, and benefits in an onsite, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day HR operations and provide guidance to employees and managers
Manage full-cycle recruitment: job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of HR data
Support employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and reinforcing a positive workplace culture; escalate to the HR Manager when necessary
Administer benefits programs and assist employees with enrollment and benefits questions
Ensure HR practices align with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Support performance management activities, including reviews and disciplinary actions
Coordinate training and development initiatives
Prepare HR reports and metrics as needed
Partner with the HR Specialist and HR Manager to support payroll-related processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required

Proficiency in HR sourcing tools such as Lever, Taleo, Paychex, Dayforce, or ADP; experience with HRIS systems.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels and manage employee relations confidently.

Familiarity with benefits administration processes including payroll systems like Kronos or Paylocity; knowledge of contracts related to employment is advantageous.
