Job Description

Perdue Farms is seeking an Associate Recruiter to support plant staffing at our Accomac, VA site. This onsite role offers a salary range of $60,000 to $90,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. You will manage full life cycle recruiting for hourly plant positions, build a robust candidate pipeline, and partner with operations and HR to attract, engage, and hire talent.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full life cycle recruitment for hourly plant roles.
  • Identify, develop, implement, evaluate, measure, and improve the recruitment process for hourly positions while maintaining staffing as directed by operations and HR leadership.
  • Establish productive working relationships with plant management to streamline interviewing and hiring of qualified applicants.
  • Create innovative methods to enhance the recruitment process and continually improve the candidate experience and skill set.
  • Achieve measurable improvements in hiring ratio from applications to hires.
  • Ensure all required paperwork, such as applications, reference checks, and interview notes, are forwarded to the Employment Process Administrator for proper intake.
  • Promote Perdue’s employer brand online and offline.
  • Maintain candidate databases as needed using the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Support Talent Acquisition and HR in hiring initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience as a Sourcer, Recruiter, or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems, and/or Candidate Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of laws governing the interview process and exposure to AAP requirements as they apply to recruitment, interviewing, and selection.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service.
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Ability to travel for company business or training as needed.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, including SuccessFactors.

Preferred education and experience

  • Recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors ATS.

Physical requirements and environmental factors

  • The position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional movement to other offices or buildings and may involve moving light equipment or supplies.
  • May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
  • In a plant environment, exposure to wet and moist floors with metal and plastic grating; temperatures ranging from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with varying humidity; products handled between 25 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit; noise levels from 50 to 110 decibels; exposure to chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facilities.
  • Protective and safety equipment must be worn as directed by the company.
  • May require climbing ladders.
