Job Description

Assistance Home Care is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead HR strategy and day-to-day operations from its St. Louis, Missouri site. The role partners with executive leadership to align people initiatives with organizational goals while cultivating a positive, values-driven culture and driving employee engagement, compliance, and comprehensive HR programs.

St. Louis, MO onsite

Compensation

USD 80,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated HR team, including the Compliance & Benefits Manager and Talent Acquisition Supervisor
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with strategic goals
  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and a positive company culture
  • Oversee employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR best practices
  • Standardize and optimize HR workflows across departments
  • Build strong working relationships through thoughtful communication, trust, and collaboration
  • Support recruiting strategies, assess complex background checks, and ensure hiring practices reflect company standards and values
  • Partner with the Business Manager to support payroll and billing processes
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, workers’ compensation claims, ACA/401k administration, and internal HR policies
  • Provide timely, clear, and actionable HR guidance and updates to leadership and staff

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR leadership experience
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to own projects with executive support while collaborating with leadership and team members
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • SHRM certification preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing preferred

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

Minimum 3 years in human resources, with leadership responsibilities

Licenses / Certifications

  • Driver's license (Required)
  • SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)
