Driver Recruiter
Job Description
At TMC Transportation in Brownsburg, Indiana, the Driver Recruiter operates onsite to source, screen, and refer candidates for driver positions. Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with qualified candidates
- Review applications and conduct telephone interviews to gather work history, education, training, and job skills while sharing information about the organization and the driver role
- Assist in performing reference and background checks on applicants
- Provide information on company facilities and available driver opportunities to potential applicants
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with candidates
- Arrange travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants
Requirements
- 2- or 4-year degree (preferably in Transportation or Human Resources) or equivalent work experience
- Ability to function in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and handle stress
- Clear, persuasive communication with candidates at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong listening abilities
- Courteous yet assertive telephone demeanor
- Proficient computer skills and keyboard proficiency
- Previous experience in Driver Recruiting is a plus
