Driver Recruiter

Walgre Transport Inc is hiring a CDL-A Driver Recruiter in Columbus, OH (onsite) to source and progress qualified solo drivers and established teams through the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to prospective CDL-A drivers via phone, text, and email
• Recruit and qualify both solo drivers and established driving teams for the fleet
• Review applications and identify qualified candidates for next steps
• Explain pay, benefits, home time, and available driving opportunities
• Maintain active recruiting momentum by following up consistently with applicants and prospects
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective drivers
• Track and manage applicant records and recruiting activity in Tenstreet
• Coordinate required pre-employment items, including background checks, MVRs, employment verification, and hiring documents
• Schedule qualified candidates for new-hire orientation
• Collaborate with Safety and Recruiting Administration teams throughout the hiring workflow

Requirements

• Previous CDL truck driver recruiting experience required
• Knowledge of the trucking and transportation industry
• Experience with Tenstreet preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proven ability to build relationships and complete structured follow-up
• Comfort handling high-volume outbound recruiting calls
• Highly organized approach with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Compensation

• USD 55,000 - 85,000 per year
• Starting salary of $55,000+ per year based on experience
