Human Resource Generalist

HR Generalist at JCSI in Danville, IL (onsite) responsible for day-to-day HR operations in a global manufacturing facility with a clear path to HR leadership, salary USD 65,000 - 75,000 per year, plus up to a 10% annual performance bonus and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Primary HR resource supporting daily plant operations
• Advise leadership on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Collaborate with leadership to develop workplace policies and HR best practices
• Assist with workers' compensation, leave administration, and HR compliance initiatives
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives
• Utilize HRIS platforms and Excel to maintain accurate employee records and reporting
• Foster a positive workplace culture through regular engagement with employees across departments
• Spend substantial time on the production floor supporting managers and staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
• Minimum four years of progressive HR experience
• Solid understanding of employment law, employee relations, investigations, and HR compliance
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments preferred
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, or similar systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Onsite work capability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
