RimePro Inc, a growing, people-first commercial general contractor in the Greater San Diego area, is seeking an on-site HR Generalist or HR Specialist to strengthen its human resources function. This role operates onsite in San Diego, CA and partners with leadership and staff to foster a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and policy administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including California specific labor regulations
- Maintain accurate employee data and HR documentation within ADP and internal platforms
- Support workers' compensation, leave of absence, and benefits administration
- Assist in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies and employee handbook content
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer letters
- Coordinate new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience from day one
- Partner with department managers to understand staffing needs and support hiring decisions
- Maintain applicant tracking and recruiting workflows within Monday.com or similar platforms
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on HR-related questions and concerns
- Support performance management processes including reviews, improvement plans, and documentation
- Help foster a positive, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee recognition, events, and culture initiatives
- Manage and optimize use of ADP for payroll coordination, benefits, and employee data
- Utilize Monday.com or similar project management platforms to track HR tasks, onboarding checklists, and department initiatives
- Generate HR reports and metrics to support leadership decision-making
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes through better use of technology
- Construction, Trades, or Field-Based Workforce HR Experience a Plus, Not Required
- California Labor Law Compliance (Wage & Hour, CFRA, FMLA, ADA)
- Multi-Location or Multi-Department HR Support

Requirements
- 3+ years of HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platform
