Job Description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role at National EWP, Inc. provides day-to-day HR support to supervisors, managers, and employees. This position focuses on employee relations, policy interpretation, employee engagement and retention, and the administration of employee benefits and HR system data.

Role Overview

As the primary HR contact, the HRBP delivers timely and consistent HR guidance, manages employee relations with appropriate confidentiality, and partners with operations leadership to address day-to-day employee needs. The role also supports key processes such as exit interviews, HR transactions, and organizational change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and supervisor inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and consistent HR guidance.
  • Manage employee relations matters with appropriate confidentiality, escalating complex or sensitive issues as needed.
  • Partner with operations leadership to resolve day-to-day employee issues and coach on performance concerns.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Enter and maintain employee data accurately and on time in ADP and other HR platforms.
  • Maintain employee personnel records in compliance with applicable laws and the organization’s records retention schedule.
  • Process HR transactions, including internal promotions, transfers, and terminations; coordinate IT access and asset requests as applicable.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans, plus leave administration (unpaid leaves of absence, Short-Term Disability) with ongoing management and billing support.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across the National team.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Identify patterns in employee relations issues and recommend proactive corrective actions or policy updates.
  • Collaborate with the Safety team to support administration of the National Career Progression program.
  • Support organizational change management initiatives by communicating effectively with impacted employees and leaders.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and retention strategies through proactive relationship-building and data-informed recommendations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 6+ years of Human Resources experience, including data entry, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably ADP, with strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience supporting field-based or operations-driven employee populations preferred.
  • Prior experience administering employee benefits and leave programs preferred.

Compensation

USD 90,000 - 115,000 per yearly

Work Location

In person

Elko, NV

Candidates located in either Elko or the Salt Lake City area. Candidates based in Salt Lake City will work from the North Salt Lake office, with occasional travel to Elko as needed.
