Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
Join Mission Critical Group onsite in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, as a Human Resources Coordinator and contribute to a team that supports essential power solutions and mission-critical infrastructure. This role provides hands-on exposure to the full HR lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding through employee separation—while placing a clear emphasis on safety records and compliance. You will work closely with the HR Manager, engage with staff on the production floor, and help maintain accurate employee files, administer benefits, and process payroll. The position supports a collaborative culture that values reliability, organization, and careful attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full range of HR functions from applicant tracking to employee termination, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Keep employee records accurate and up to date across the workforce.
- Oversee benefits administration, including invoice processing, enrollments, updates, and assistance with employee claims.
- Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist the Human Resources Manager with administrative tasks and coordination.
- Support the vehicle gas card program, balance checkbooks, and perform related duties as needed.
- Take on other duties as assigned to support HR operations.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience across all HR areas, including benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, recruiting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing, organized, and detail-oriented approach; capable of handling sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel; comfortable learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- FLSA non-exempt, hourly position with potential for extended hours to meet project deadlines, including weekends or holidays.
- Primary office setting with frequent visits to the production floor to oversee operations and ensure safety and compliance.
- Mobility to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
- Manual dexterity for handling objects and controls as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, with lifting conducted in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Visual and auditory requirements to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.
