Job Description

A highly organized HR Coordinator will support high-volume HR operations at See's Candies' Carson, CA facility during peak season (August–January), delivering people-process support and ensuring data accuracy for employees and leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Use Workday to process HR transactions, maintain employee data, and generate reports with accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinate high-volume recruitment activities, including researching and supporting job fairs, posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and maintaining consistent candidate communication throughout the recruitment-to-hire cycle.
  • Manage onboarding workflows in Workday and support a smooth new hire experience with weekly orientation; conduct sessions to ensure understanding of policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Administer offboarding workflows in Workday and support a respectful layoff process; conduct stay interviews to collect feedback for improving hiring and retention.
  • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping accuracy by reviewing timesheets, making corrections, and addressing employee questions related to hours worked and pay; ensure pay aligns with policies and the CBA framework.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns with a customer-service mindset; support investigation processes with documentation, research, and related tasks.
  • Filter and route initial employee inquiries to provide proper guidance on benefits, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and other resources.
  • Coordinate employee scheduling and communicate shift assignments or changes, ensuring alignment with the CBA framework.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including I-9 and E-Verify processing.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, filing, responding to general HR inquiries, and preparing reports or communications.
  • Participate in HR initiatives and offer flexible support during periods of high volume.
  • Uphold See's core principles and workplace values, including respect, integrity, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by HR management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR Coordinator or similar role; Workday experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak season (August–January).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • On-site work capability in Carson, CA.
