Human Resources Coordinator (Spanish Bilingual)
Job Description
State Garden Inc. is seeking an on-site Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations from the Chelsea, Massachusetts office. This bilingual role focuses on managing HR administrative tasks, onboarding, benefits, and employee relations while delivering professional service to a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
- Act as point of contact for employees visiting the HR office.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism while researching and resolving questions or issues.
- Strives for customer service excellence when providing HR support to team members.
- Translate written or verbal statements, documentation, and/or training related to HR inquiries, employee relations issues, and investigations.
- May support employee inquiries regarding paid medical and family leave.
- Conduct regular audits of employee files, benefit enrollment, Form I-9s, employee TPS status and other HR programs and recommend corrective action.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
- Uses E-Verify to ensure compliance with Form I-9 process.
- Processes paperwork for terminations.
- May schedule and conduct exit interviews as part of the exit process.
- Communicates themes and findings.
- File documents into appropriate employee files.
- Maintains employee files and ensures the HR team is always audit ready.
- Communicates with managers and area leaders to ensure proper documentation for employee changes are received in a timely manner.
- Participates in active ongoing investigations and employee relations issues.
- Maintains up to date knowledge on all benefits offerings, new policies, and policy updates.
- Launch onboarding packet.
- Collects and submits new hire paperwork for onboarding processes.
- Schedule and conduct new hire orientation.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule new hires tours and training.
- May process payroll or act as a backup for payroll processing.
- Actively participates in the Employee Relations Committee, planning and organization of companywide events, producing meeting notes, sending meeting invites (i.e. Holiday Luncheon, Summer BBQ, etc.).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bilingual; Spanish language skills required.
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, or a related field is preferred; other applicable degrees are acceptable.
- Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment is not required but highly preferred.
Compensation & Location
- Salary: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
- Location: Chelsea, MA (onsite)
