Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Legends Global is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to oversee day-to-day HR administration, support the full employee lifecycle, and work with the HR Manager to boost engagement and cultivate a strong culture across high-volume venues in the Tampa area.
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with leadership to ensure HR strategies, processes, and practices are implemented and adhered to.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels across the unit to support smooth operations.
- Provide purposeful coaching and timely feedback to employees at all levels, addressing various workplace issues and business needs.
- Collaborate with staff and management to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support HR activities during events and non-event days as needed outside standard hours.
- Ensure compliance with all current governmental and labor reporting requirements.
- Assist in preparing documentation for compliance with state and federal laws and maintain employee files.
- Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations into policy and legal violations and handling general employee concerns.
- Partner in processing workers' compensation claims, leaves of absence, and benefits administration.
- Develop and deliver talent development materials and initiatives.
- Demonstrate active interest in operational knowledge related to HR partnership to add value across venues.
- Exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality in HR decision-making.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle administration across the assigned region.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive human resources experience.
- Union experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable presenting to both small and large audiences.
- Proven ability to build meaningful relationships across functions, departments, and local communities.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing business needs.
- Ability to influence and establish credibility with employees and customers at all levels with consistency, empathy, and professionalism.
- Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to delivering high levels of employee service, coupled with initiative, leadership, and time management.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

The Role
The HR Generalist plays an integral part in delivering our guest experience promise. They will manage day-to-day HR administration and support comprehensive employee lifecycle processes. The role partners with the Human Resources Manager on strategic initiatives to boost employee engagement and business performance while fostering Legends organizational culture. Responsibilities span core HR generalist functions including high-volume recruitment, training, onboarding, discipline, investigations, and employee relations.
