Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment for roles across all levels
- Draft and publish job postings internally and on external job boards and social media
- Develop strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement
- Support onboarding to ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain employee records in both physical and electronic formats in line with labor laws and internal policies
- Create and maintain HR reports including applicant tracking, vacancies, occupancy, and turnover
- Provide counseling on employee relations, policies, and procedures
- Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, interface with union representatives and assist with employee relations issues
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations and other staff development trainings
- Maintain the HRIS with all required employee data and troubleshoot user issues
- Assist with the performance evaluation process by sending reminders and tracking completion
- Support the employee benefits administration function as needed
- Maintain working knowledge of HR related laws and OPWDD and other governing regulations
- Engage in activities that advance the agency mission and HR department functions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources roles
- Professional maturity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem solver with proven ability to design and implement systems
- Technology savvy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Strong team player with high energy
