Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
PremierBank in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, onsite, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join the team and partner with employees and leaders to support HR functions across recruitment, payroll and HRIS, engagement, compliance, and benefits. This role emphasizes close collaboration with management to elevate the employee experience while ensuring accurate HR data and compliant processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to employees and leaders across the organization.
- Support and enhance the employee experience through a wide range of HR functions.
- Lead full cycle recruiting across all locations.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies and sourcing efforts.
- Interview, assess, and extend offers to candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding to create a welcoming new hire experience.
- Process bi weekly and special payrolls using Paylocity.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity in Paylocity, serving as the primary point of contact for system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Manage benefit deductions, enrollments, and terminations.
- Generate HR reports and ensure data accuracy.
- Support payroll and benefits reconciliation and issue resolution.
- Coordinate employee events, recognition, and engagement initiatives.
- Support internal communications and culture-building efforts.
- Promote a positive and connected workplace environment.
- Maintain HR documentation and employee records.
- Provide guidance on policies and HR best practices.
- Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations matters.
- Support the annual performance review process, including timelines, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Conduct and support workplace investigations.
- Administer FMLA and unemployment processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct benefit orientations and assist employees with enrollment.
- Serve as liaison with insurance carriers and vendors.
- Support open enrollment and benefits communications.
- Assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, forms, and resources.
- Support HR projects and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and employment law developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and one to three years of experience in human resources, including relevant internships. Must be willing to achieve PHR or SHRM-CP within the first year of employment.
- Payroll experience preferred, Paylocity experience preferred.
- Proficient skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Interest in working in a collaborative, relationship-focused community banking environment.

- Ability to work Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Valid driver’s license to travel to other branch locations.
