The HR Generalist partners with the Human Resources Manager and serves as a trusted resource for both employees and managers. You will contribute across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and policy implementation, all while upholding confidentiality in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle from job postings and candidate screening to interviewing and onboarding.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Support employee relations by addressing questions and resolving workplace concerns confidentially and professionally.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Assist with performance management processes, employee evaluations, and corrective actions.
  • Process employment changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Support payroll by maintaining accurate employee information and timekeeping records.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
  • Assist with training, employee engagement initiatives, and company events.
  • Generate HR reports and maintain HR metrics as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Generalist HR role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with Paycor HRIS and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Haitian Creole is a plus.
