The HR Generalist partners with the Human Resources Manager and serves as a trusted resource for both employees and managers. You will contribute across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and policy implementation, all while upholding confidentiality in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle from job postings and candidate screening to interviewing and onboarding.
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support employee relations by addressing questions and resolving workplace concerns confidentially and professionally.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Assist with performance management processes, employee evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Process employment changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Support payroll by maintaining accurate employee information and timekeeping records.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
- Assist with training, employee engagement initiatives, and company events.
- Generate HR reports and maintain HR metrics as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Generalist HR role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with Paycor HRIS and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Haitian Creole is a plus.
