This on-site Human Resources Generalist role in Buffalo, NY partners with the HR Manager and operations leaders to drive people initiatives across a fast-paced venue environment. The position carries a competitive compensation range of $63,000 to $68,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package to support you and your family.

The Role

As an HR Generalist, you will collaborate with the Human Resources Manager and operational managers on a range of initiatives. The project landscape includes the upcoming opening of the New Highmark Stadium for the Buffalo Bills in the 2026 NFL season, a major Western New York development featuring advanced technology designed to elevate the fan experience. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with management to ensure HR strategies, processes, and programs are put into practice
  • Demonstrate a proactive interest in venue and operational knowledge to deliver value as an HR business partner
  • Provide expert coaching to managers and employees (union and non-union) on performance management, progressive discipline, career development, employee relations, policies and procedures, and employment laws
  • Anticipate and address labor and employee relations issues, including conflict resolution efforts
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to conduct investigations and prepare necessary documentation
  • Support efforts to strengthen bench strength by identifying, recruiting, and developing talent
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of department goals, objectives, and processes
  • Participate in full life cycle recruitment, hiring, and staffing
  • Assist with staffing on event and non-event days as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Be available to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in HR administration, HRIS (UltiPro), or an LMS (Litmos)
  • Excel and SharePoint experience preferred
  • Strong social skills and effective time management
  • Flexible, organized, and able to work independently with sound judgment on when to escalate
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Excellent task management and prioritization abilities
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive human resources experience
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including workers’ compensation, workplace safety, EEOC, NLRB, and FLSA
