Human Resources Generalist

NorthCare Network is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support end-to-end HR operations for its workforce in Marquette, Michigan. In this hybrid-capable role, you will manage key employee lifecycle processes and serve as both a primary HR contact and the organization’s Training Coordinator.

Role Overview

Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, this position performs a variety of HR functions across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, personnel policy administration, and performance evaluations. You will also respond to employee HR questions and coordinate training activities to ensure required programs are completed in line with legal and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment activities
• Manage onboarding processes
• Manage payroll
• Manage benefits administration
• Manage personnel policies
• Manage performance evaluations
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and general HR guidance
• Serve as the organization’s Training Coordinator by overseeing the employee training program
• Ensure all required trainings are completed in accordance with legal and contractual standards

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
• At least three years of HR experience preferred
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
• Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Payroll experience preferred

Schedule, Status, and Location

• Regular full-time position
• 80 hours biweekly
• Marquette, Michigan
• Hybrid work schedule may be available with supervisor approval

Compensation

• Salary range: USD 65,312 - 88,171 per year
• Starting salary will be determined based on education, certifications, and experience
