Job Description

The HR Generalist I role at Inpria Corporation is based onsite in Corvallis, OR, supporting a 150‑employee chemical manufacturing operation across two Oregon locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with management of leave programs including FMLA, OFLA, PLO, and other company-approved leaves.
  • Support accommodations under the ADA and related processes.
  • Contribute to workers’ compensation claims management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, tracking, and communication for all leave cases.
  • Coordinate with leave providers and brokers to resolve administration issues.
  • Administer benefits tasks such as enrollment, changes, and employee support.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct processing of leave and benefits changes.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screenings, interview coordination, and hiring manager support.
  • Facilitate new‑hire onboarding, orientation, and integration into the organization.
  • Coordinate offboarding processes, including exit documentation, system updates, and COBRA administration.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files and HR records.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR inquiries.
  • Assist the HR Manager with employee relations matters, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Support performance review cycles, compensation processes, and training initiatives.
  • Provide back-up support for the HR Manager when needed.
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy and support reporting needs.
  • Assist with policy updates, handbook revisions, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain HR metrics, reports, and related documentation.
  • Advise employees and supervisors on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing leave programs (FMLA, OFLA, ADA, etc.) and policy development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and HR documentation processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or technical environments is preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screen.
