Join Marriott International in a hybrid role based in Bethesda, MD. The Human Resources Generalist/Manager position offers a salary range of USD 96,000 to 122,800 per year. You will join a high-performing HRG team delivering essential people processes across talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, engagement, associate relations, and workforce planning. By collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners, you will help ensure precise, data-driven program delivery and identify opportunities to streamline processes while supporting Marriott’s culture and brand.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leaders and the organizational capability team to align structures with business goals, streamline work processes, leverage systems across disciplines, and clearly define roles and accountabilities.
  • Assist with succession planning and workforce planning activities aligned to the growth strategy.
  • Utilize talent assessment expertise to facilitate effective development planning.
  • Support leaders in optimizing human resources strategies and drive outcomes by executing against the HR Talent Strategy.
  • Partner with the HR Talent Performance COE to drive performance while upholding Marriott culture and brand.
  • Support talent development and organizational capability for assigned teams, understanding current and future talent needs.
  • Assess talent and skill gaps based on business levels and growth plans; design plans and programs to address them.
  • Monitor and administer HR procedures for assigned teams, coordinating with HR COEs and Associate Relations on lifecycle processes.
  • Execute annual and cyclical HR programs including performance management, compensation planning, engagement surveys, workforce planning, and required training processes.
  • Track milestones, manage data inputs and outputs, and ensure accurate completion of assigned HR deliverables.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and materials for leaders and HR partners using established templates and tools.
  • Develop knowledge across HR disciplines such as compensation, performance, talent processes, and workforce data.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs and HR Business Partners to ensure timely execution of HR initiatives.
  • Maintain employee data accuracy across HR systems through auditing and corrective actions.
  • Administer HR procedures with data integrity and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for standard HR questions and direct stakeholders to appropriate resources.
  • Support core HR programs, including performance, compensation, engagement, workforce planning, and training.
  • Monitor milestones, deliverables, and compliance requirements to maintain program integrity.
  • Adhere to defined HRG processes and documentation standards to ensure consistent execution.
  • Collaborate with team members to share best practices, track work, and manage volume.
  • Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and propose improvement opportunities to HRG leadership.
  • Support targeted process enhancements, documentation updates, or automation efforts when directed.
  • Incorporate feedback to improve accuracy, communication, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in human resources, organizational capability, human capital consulting or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth.
