Summary

A Human Resources Generalist with a primary focus on talent acquisition, overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding. This role reports to the Talent Manager and EVP of Human Resources and is based in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a resource for employees and supervisors, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related inquiries.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for assigned portfolio groups, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer administration via Paycor.
  • Administer and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate candidate records, requisitions, and hiring workflows.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze recruitment reports and hiring metrics to support workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Monitor recruiting activity, job board performance, candidate pipelines, and time-to-fill metrics for the HR team.
  • Assist in coordinating internship programs, educational partnerships, community outreach initiatives, and recruiting events to strengthen talent pipelines.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs, including scheduling, agenda management, and delivering a positive employee experience.
  • Support onboarding processes by ensuring completion and maintenance of all pre-employment and new hire documentation.
  • Process employment verifications, reference checks, and unemployment claims in a timely manner.
  • Manage relationships with staffing agencies, including contract administration, candidate placements, and assignment tracking.
  • Assist with HR projects, audits, reporting initiatives, and other departmental responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with Paycor, Paychex, or other HRIS preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of HR experience required, with a strong emphasis on full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional interaction at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with candidates, employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and high ethical standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple recruiting requisitions.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
