Job Description

Foot Locker is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support its Supply Chain and Distribution Center operations in Junction City, KS. This on-site role partners with the HR Manager and Centers of Excellence to deploy policies and programs spanning onboarding, offboarding, compensation, engagement, employee communication, recognition, and development. The position aligns with Supply Chain strategy, assists front line leaders with execution, and fosters a compliant, productive, and engaging work environment. The role offers a salary of USD 60,000–75,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two years of HR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Models leadership competencies and coaches staff and managers on required capabilities and the company values.
  • Stays aware of the Supply Chain strategy and performance metrics, providing guidance to frontline leaders to aid execution.
  • Understands the DC organizational design and reporting structure and supports organizational design changes, communications, and change management plans.
  • Leads initiatives that create a productive, positive work environment to retain and engage employees.
  • Supports strategic plans addressing workplace climate and retention challenges.
  • Assists with employee concerns by interpreting HR policies, resolving conflicts, and escalating issues to Centers of Excellence or HR leadership for investigations.
  • Ensures HR policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local laws; conducts audits to maintain compliance.
  • Supports hiring by interviewing frontline leaders and participating in candidate debrief feedback sessions.
  • Assists onboarding with coordinating orientation, preparing materials, and ensuring completion of required documentation for the DC.
  • Supports offboarding through exit interviews and collection of supporting documentation.
  • Assists in implementing performance reviews and feedback processes.
  • Advises managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
  • Manages goal setting and performance review reporting to drive completion with DC leadership.
  • Supports the annual compensation review process by providing local market assessments in collaboration with the COE.
  • Coaches frontline leaders and employees on people and organizational issues as they arise.
  • Reviews development resources utilization reports and drives higher participation across the DC.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of HRIS and payroll systems and oversees reporting and data management needs.
  • Manages benefits programs, responds to employee inquiries, and ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Maintains accurate HR files and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Flexibility to rotate one weekend shift per month.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably as an HR Generalist.
  • Experience working in a distribution center, manufacturing, fulfillment center, or warehouse is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Demonstrates a customer-service orientation and a team-focused attitude.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish and/or French are preferred.

This position operates in a fast-paced distribution center with limited outdoor exposure during the workday. The role involves routine exposure to standard warehouse equipment and typical noise levels.
