Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR strategies aligned with corporate goals across Puerto Rico, Florida, and LATAM.
- Direct, mentor, and oversee the HR team to ensure consistent application of policies across territories.
- Act as the primary liaison between headquarters and LATAM offices, coordinating with local HR agencies to enforce company policies and local compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to support HR-related needs and initiatives.
- Oversee HR operations in Florida, including employee relations, payroll support, recruitment, and compliance under U.S. federal and state regulations.
- Provide HR guidance and strategic support to LATAM branches, ensuring alignment with corporate values and legal requirements.
- Administer and monitor medical insurance plans and 401(k) retirement programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective employee communication.
- Ensure benefits compliance under ERISA and ACA.
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends and advocate proactive HR strategies.
- Coordinate with insurance brokers, plan administrators, and regulatory entities to manage renewals, reconciliations, and audits.
- Maintain full legal compliance across jurisdictions, including labor laws, OSHA, FMLA, COBRA, SINOT, and other applicable regulations.
- Oversee internal and external audits, reporting, and employee documentation to uphold compliance and operational integrity.
- Manage and implement HRIS systems to optimize data accuracy, automate processes, and support data-driven decisions.
- Lead HR digital transformation initiatives to improve automation and analytics.
- Maintain up-to-date and confidential employee records across HR databases.
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing to onboarding, across all regions.
- Assess training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance leadership, compliance, and technical skills.
- Lead succession planning and performance evaluation processes in collaboration with department heads.
- Design, update, and implement employee handbooks, policies, and protocols reflecting current laws and best practices.
- Promote a culture of ethics, inclusion, and professional growth throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in multi-site or international operations.
- Knowledge of HR laws in Puerto Rico, Florida, and Latin America preferred.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Proven experience with HRIS implementation and benefits administration.
- Strategic thinker capable of designing HR plans and programs that support overall success.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Availability to travel to assigned regions.
