Human Resources Manager

Aloha House seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee the HR function for Maui Behavioral Health Resources in Makawao, Maui. The role covers training and employee development, benefits administration, policies and procedures, performance management and appraisal, onboarding, employee relations, conflict mediation, recruitment, retention, and employee recognition, with additional duties as Safety Coordinator for the Safety Team.

Position Details

• Location: Makawao, HI (onsite)
• Salary: USD 60,000 - 70,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive training programs and ongoing employee development initiatives
• Manage the benefits program and its administration
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
• Lead the performance management cycle and appraisal processes to drive performance and development
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires to facilitate smooth integration
• Foster positive employee relations and address workplace matters promptly
• Provide conflict mediation to resolve disputes and maintain a collaborative environment
• Oversee recruitment activities to attract qualified candidates
• Design and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover
• Coordinate employee recognition initiatives to acknowledge achievement and motivation
• Serve as Safety Coordinator for the Safety Team, ensuring compliance with safety protocols

Requirements

• B.A. in Business Management, Human Resources or related field required
• SHRM certification preferred
• Minimum three years of prior supervisory or managerial experience with HR and management responsibilities
• Current driver’s license, clean driving record, access to an insured vehicle and current car insurance
