Job Description

Acuren Inspection, Inc. supports a hybrid work setup in Houston, TX and invests in people through a full-time, permanent role with benefits built for stability. This position leads local and national recruiting efforts to attract technical talent, oversee the Talent Acquisition team, and help create pipelines that strengthen both hiring and retention.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute a staffing strategy for the technical field inspection workforce in collaboration with local operations, workforce planning, the TA team, and regional HR departments.
  • Create and sustain talent pools across multiple technical skill sets throughout the organization.
  • Build long-term relationships with active job seekers and passive candidates to support hiring and ongoing networking.
  • Apply best-in-class sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and contact qualified candidates, including potential apprentices or trainees.
  • Penetrate the market with the Acuren brand by using best practices to generate interest in employment and drive candidate excitement.
  • Oversee strategic recruitment events and initiatives, including national recruitment campaigns and attendance at college, trade school, high school, and non-traditional career events targeting NDT career awareness.
  • Maintain relationships with technical staff after hire to support ongoing employee satisfaction.
  • Partner with workforce staffing and planning teams and operations management on career path development and certifications for technical staff.
  • Mentor technical staff to support appropriate technical progress and skills development.
  • Manage skills matrices of technical staff to ensure training and progression remain on schedule.
  • Review resumes, pre-screen and interview candidates, verify qualifications, and advance candidates to local operational management, workforce planning and staffing, and HR.
  • Coordinate offer letter preparation and ensure appropriate communication with candidates.
  • Coordinate with operations to confirm logistics are addressed for new candidates.
  • Check in with staff post-hire to understand onboarding experience and work expectations.

What you bring

  • Minimum 8 years of full cycle recruitment experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisor or manager position.
  • In-depth knowledge of staffing principles, best practices, and relevant legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of staffing and selection processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Craft and NDT, with the ability to communicate technical requirements and demands across client sectors and NDT methods.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to positively influence candidate attraction.
  • Ability to target, recruit, and identify specific technical candidates for assigned recruitment initiatives.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent demands, with a track record of maintaining positive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and compliance with responsibilities under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, and Acuren Safety and Quality Management Systems, policies, and procedures.

Role details

  • Full time permanent, 40 hours/week
  • Hybrid 3-4 days per week out of the Galleria, Houston TX office
