Job Description

This in-person role offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with matching, dental, health, and vision insurance. Based in Fort Smith, AR, you will report to the Director, People Operations and travel regionally to support employee relations, benefits, payroll, onboarding and offboarding, internal communications, engagement, and M&A integration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, coaching and development conversations, and documenting corrective actions; promote effective one-on-one meeting practices.
  • Assist leaders in addressing employee concerns and cultivating a constructive work environment.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the People Operations inbox.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices across the organization.
  • Serve as a resource for benefits-related questions and guide employees to appropriate benefits resources and external support providers.
  • Support benefits communications and employee education initiatives; partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve benefits-related issues.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from managers and team members; coordinate and process approved pay adjustments; collaborate with payroll stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate resolution of payroll concerns.
  • Support onboarding activities to ensure a positive and seamless new hire experience; coordinate offboarding processes, including separation documentation and communications; maintain onboarding and offboarding resources.
  • Assist the Director, People Operations in coordinating company-wide and division-level communications; assist with planning and execution of Company Town Halls and Division Town Halls; help ensure timely, accurate, and engaging organizational updates.
  • Support company-wide employee engagement initiatives and programs; coordinate quarterly and annual recognition and awards programs; contribute to activities that strengthen culture, employee satisfaction, and retention.
  • Assist with pre-close integration planning for acquisitions, including employee onboarding materials, offer letters, organizational documentation, and transition readiness activities; coordinate Day One and Week One onboarding; partner with leaders to execute communications, change management, and workforce integration during the acquisition process; provide ongoing support to acquired employees and leaders to drive engagement and long-term integration into IOS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, employment policies, and workforce support programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience supporting organizational change, acquisitions, onboarding, or workforce integration initiatives is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/People Operations systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25 percent to other offices and acquired company locations.
