Job Description
CoreCivic is seeking a Physician Recruiter to support medical hiring across CCA by working closely with regional Health Services and Human Resources teams. This onsite role in Brentwood, TN supports cost-effective recruitment, strong candidate pipelines, and hiring processes designed to meet regulatory expectations. Salary range: USD 72,450 - 86,900 per year.
The Physician Recruiter partners with Health Services leaders to keep applicant flow healthy, reduce vacancy-related risk, and fill high-level medical and dental vacancies. The role also builds sourcing strategies, maintains recruiting documentation, and ensures selection and hiring practices comply with state and federal laws.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vacancy rates and implement recruitment strategies aimed at minimizing vacancy fines and improving fill rates.
- Partner with the Health Services team to assess hiring cycle processes and ensure consistent application of those processes to satisfy OFCCP requirements.
- Use creative sourcing methods to identify qualified candidates for top-level medical and dental roles while maintaining documentation that tracks candidates and sourcing strategies.
- Develop and maintain a database of qualified candidates.
- Monitor facility applicant flow and recruitment-related issues to ensure appropriate hiring assessments are used to meet Medical Department hiring goals.
- Provide resources and collaborate with regional Health Services and facility HR to build and maintain critical community contacts with colleges and universities in the medical field.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal selection and hiring laws for all medical positions.
- Support recruiting needs with domestic U.S. travel, as required.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Health Services, Business, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of recruiting or health services experience, including 2 years of medical recruiting experience (required).
- Additional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to two years.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local licensing/certifications for Physicians (required).
- Experience using multiple recruiting methods, including internet, direct sourcing, networking/referrals, and other cost-effective sources.
- Experience with an ATS and HRIS preferred.
- Extremely organized with strong attention to detail, able to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- Travel required, including a valid driver’s license.
- Onsite requirement: 4 days onsite in Brentwood, TN.
