Job Description

Christus Health is seeking a Physician Recruiter II to strengthen physician and advanced practice provider talent acquisition in support of its multi-ministry needs. In this onsite role in Irving, TX, you will lead full-cycle searches with meaningful autonomy, partner closely with operational and physician leadership, and help advance recruitment strategy through data-driven planning and proactive engagement.

As an experienced recruiting professional, you will manage complex, hard-to-fill physician recruitment across multiple specialties, build sustainable pipelines, and support candidate experience from intake through offer. This position requires strong communication, facility with recruitment technology, and the ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Independently manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned physician and advanced practice provider specialties, including complex and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Serve as the primary recruitment partner to ministry leadership by providing market intelligence, developing recruitment strategies, and leading executive recruitment update meetings through proactive communication.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for new clinics, service lines, and expansion initiatives by assessing staffing needs, developing recruitment strategies, and executing recruitment plans with minimal oversight.
  • Develop and execute specialty-focused sourcing strategies to identify and engage highly qualified physician and advanced practice provider candidates.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake meetings, coordinate candidate interviews and site visits, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the process.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with physicians, residency and fellowship programs, training institutions, professional organizations, and industry partners to support sustainable candidate pipelines.
  • Partner with the compensation team to prepare offer recommendations and support negotiation of Letters of Intent and employment agreements.
  • Perform market research to identify recruitment trends, competitive intelligence, compensation benchmarks, and workforce planning opportunities.
  • Use recruitment metrics and data to evaluate pipeline performance, identify opportunities, and provide actionable updates to leadership.
  • Represent Christus Health at specialty conferences, residency and fellowship events, career fairs, and other recruitment activities to strengthen physician and provider pipelines.
  • Act as a Christus Health employer brand ambassador by communicating the organization’s mission, culture, and physician value proposition.
  • Identify workflow gaps and proactively recommend process improvements that enhance recruitment efficiency, candidate experience, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation, applicant tracking records, sourcing activity, and recruitment dashboards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by training, mentoring, and supporting incoming recruiters while promoting consistency, best practices, and operational excellence across the team.
  • Ensure consistent, professional, and timely communication with candidates, hiring leaders, and internal stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
  • Travel up to 40% across multiple states as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education required.
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of physician, advanced practice provider, healthcare, or professional recruiting experience required.
  • Three (3) or more years of physician recruitment experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing an applicant tracking system (ATS), preferably Infor, preferred.
