Job Description
Christus Health seeks an onsite Recruiter I - Talent Acquisition in Irving, TX to handle recruiting, screening, and interviewing for professional non-nursing roles while ensuring compliant hiring practices and contributing to HR process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with hiring supervisors, delivering tailored support to meet each unit's staffing needs.
- Develops and executes a robust recruitment program to sustain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates, using marketing materials and incentive strategies that align with market dynamics and budget constraints.
- Oversees end to end hiring activities, including prescreening with Targeted Selection practices, candidate pre assessments, interview scheduling per TS processes, and proposing incentives such as relocation or sign on bonuses; collaborates with external recruiters for hard to fill roles.
- Manages Targeted Selection implementation, ensuring hiring managers are trained in TS interviewing techniques, guides, and data integration; conducts TS interviewer training and may serve as a TS interviewer.
- Acts as HR Logix administrator, maintaining requisitions, job openings, and applicant data for assigned positions; ensures new requisitions are ready for weekly staffing council review and assists in preparing the staffing council spreadsheet.
- Represents CHRISTUS Health in community and school settings, attending career fairs and other events and providing support at such activities.
- Tracks and reports recruitment metrics on a regular basis, including hires and openings, and provides updates as requested.
- Supports other Recruitment Team members as needed during peak periods or staffing shortages.
- Provides backup for the general orientation facilitator as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality of applicants, candidates, and associates; shares information only as necessary for job duties.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by department leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing a full desk and requisition load.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
