Senior Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
This role helps deliver HR services and strategic people initiatives within assigned business units.
Responsibilities
- Implement HR services and programs across assigned business units, including employee and labor relations, organization development, talent management, performance management, leader development, engagement, compensation, benefits, wellness, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.
- Develop and execute local HR initiatives that support business outcomes.
- Consult, coach, and advise frontline leaders on day-to-day team member and labor relations matters.
- Support and coach team members on performance and conduct issues.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain positive team member relations, track engagement, and identify improvements to the work environment.
- Lead workplace investigations and manage the complaint or grievance process for assigned business units.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Labor Relations activities where applicable, including labor management meetings, grievances, and training.
- Manage local onboarding and facility orientation programs.
- Coordinate team member leave of absence and return-to-work activities at the facility level.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adhere to Hackensack Meridian Health organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalent years of related HR experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, including at least 3 years in employee relations and conducting complex investigations.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Leadership, team building, and change management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of HRIS/EMR systems such as PeopleSoft and/or Workday.
- Familiarity with talent management, benefits and compensation administration, and legal compliance requirements.
- Experience managing projects.

- Compensation: USD 92,144 per year
- Starting minimum rate: $92,144.00 annually
