Sr. Human Resource Generalist
Job Description
Unified Women's Health of Pennsylvania seeks a Senior HR Generalist to lead the human resources function for the Erie market. The role covers payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits administration, policy implementation, and compliance. This is a part-time, onsite position based in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day HR operations for the Pennsylvania market.
- Facilitate seamless onboarding for employees following mergers and acquisitions of care centers.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and update the Employee Handbook and practice policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Provide guidance and ongoing training to department supervisors and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to promote consistency and legal compliance.
- Advise on involuntary terminations to align with company policies and legal standards.
- Partner with managers to investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns.
- Administer benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), and address benefit-related inquiries.
- Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment, including planning timelines, communications, and information sessions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to manage all recruitment phases—job postings, background checks, and drug screenings—to ensure timely, compliant hiring outcomes.
- Oversee recruitment for the Erie location from posting to offers, including interviews, references, background checks, and drug screenings.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new hires.
- Oversee mandatory compliance training, including onboarding modules for new employees and annual trainings for existing staff.
- Work with the Compliance Department to address HIPAA-related concerns or violations promptly.
- Administer leaves of absence (personal, medical, military, FMLA, ADA) in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Maintain HRIS and employee records in line with legal and company standards.
- Co-manage the bi-weekly payroll process to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
- Prepare and submit the annual EEO-1 report as required by federal guidelines.
- Lead the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Investigate unemployment compensation and workers' compensation claims and handle required filings in a timely manner.
- Respond to verification of employment requests for current and former employees.
- Maintain OSHA Log 300 entries for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Contribute to improvements of HR workflows and processes within the Pennsylvania market in collaboration with the broader HR team and key partners.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience; 3 years in employee relations preferred; strong operations background.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (eg, ADP).
- Knowledge of HR and payroll systems with ability to interpret and apply federal, Pennsylvania, and Ohio laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Schedule
Part-time role, approximately 30 to 32 hours per week. Core hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 78,000 to 80,000 per year.
Work Location and Travel
On-site in Erie, PA 16507. May require occasional travel. Ability to commute to the Erie location is preferred.
Work Environment
Office-based setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
