Senior Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Cook Inlet Housing Authority in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to serve as a trusted partner to both employees and leadership. This onsite role spans a wide range of HR functions, from employee relations and recruitment to benefits, performance management, and organizational initiatives. The position offers a salary range of USD 85,000 - 92,500 per year.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment in collaboration with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, design sourcing strategies, attract qualified candidates, conduct interviews, and guide the hiring process from posting to onboarding.
- Enhance candidate experience by delivering an engaging, efficient recruitment and onboarding process aligned with the organization's culture and values.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and supervisors, offering guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, and workplace practices.
- Conduct workplace inquiries and help resolve concerns with fairness and professional judgment.
- Coach supervisors on performance management, development planning, conflict resolution, and strategies to boost engagement.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues and organizational leaders to identify process improvements and improve the overall employee experience.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies, promoting consistency and accountability across the organization.
- Participate as a contributing member of the HR team on special projects, initiatives, and backup support for benefits administration as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Six or more years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and employment law compliance.
