Sr. Human Resources Administrator
Job Description
Chewy is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the human resources function at its Mount Juliet, TN location. In this onsite role, you will be a first point-of-contact for employee HR needs while helping manage onboarding, employee records, and time and payroll-related administration. You will also assist with HR policy and HRIS updates to keep people processes accurate and current.
What you’ll do
- Lead on-site new employee orientations to help employees understand benefit plan information, HR policies, and related procedures.
- Monitor the “call-off line” and process other time off requests to support accurate absenteeism tracking.
- Handle punch and payroll adjustments to maintain accurate timesheets, including processing changes within required deadlines.
- Maintain employee files and complete routine file audits to ensure records remain organized and up to date.
- Write, revise, edit, and proofread company HR policies, procedures, and other related HR documents as needed.
- Use the electronic benefits bulletin board and other communication channels to share HR information.
- Produce the company telephone directory.
- Perform additional HR duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree, with a major in business or human resources preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience administering general human resources duties preferred.
- Computer skills and the ability to learn an HRIS system.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication, with a focus on punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
