Sr. Human Resources Specialist
Job Description
Sares-Regis Group is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Specialist to support day-to-day employee relations and core HR functions. This onsite role in Newport Beach, CA focuses on advising managers, administering key people programs, and ensuring HR practices align with applicable employment laws and company policies.
The Sr. Human Resources Specialist will manage performance-related processes, assist with leave of absence and reasonable accommodations, and help resolve employee and manager inquiries. Working within HR, the role also supports disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, productivity, recognition, morale, and training and development initiatives.
What you’ll do
- Address and resolve performance concerns, corrective action needs, and conflict management issues
- Advise managers on employee performance, corrective action, terminations, and investigations
- Handle employment-related questions from employees and supervisors
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory training
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Recommend best practices for HR activities and programs
- Review company policies and practices to support ongoing compliance
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging HR technologies and developments in employment law
- Administer and execute HR programs, including leave of absence administration, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance management, productivity and recognition efforts, morale support, and training and development
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Manage daily employee relations functions, including manager education and coaching, performance management, leave administration, reasonable accommodations, and enforcement of company policies and practices

- 5 to 7 years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- SHRM-CP and/or HRCI certification is a plus
- Thorough, expert-level knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws, government regulations, and agency rules
- Paylocity HRIS experience is a plus
- Experience with Outlook Email, Calendar, and Contact systems
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Compensation
USD 87,000 - 100,000 per year.
