Job Description
DIVINE SAVIOR LUTHERAN ACADEMY INC is seeking a Talent Acquisition and HR Specialist to support the school’s mission by helping recruit educators and staff who align with its Christian principles and institutional values. In this onsite role in Doral, FL, you will manage key parts of the hiring lifecycle while also performing additional HR responsibilities to keep people operations running smoothly.
Role overview
The Talent Acquisition and HR Specialist sources, attracts, and hires candidates aligned with the school’s ethos, while supporting HR administration and other assigned HR needs. The position also contributes to recruitment planning and helps ensure the process moves efficiently from first contact through onboarding.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies designed to attract qualified candidates aligned with the school’s mission and values
- Partner with school leadership to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions that reflect institutional requirements and ethos
- Source and engage candidates using multiple channels such as online job boards, social media, and networking
- Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with Christian principles
- Coordinate and facilitate recruitment events, including job fairs, information sessions, and networking opportunities within the Christian community
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and track recruitment metrics to monitor progress and improve recruiting efforts
- Support an efficient recruitment process from initial contact through onboarding
- Assist with processing of terminations
- Use the HRIS system to maintain employee records
- Support the Human Resources Director with other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of proven recruiting experience, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting
- Deep understanding and alignment with Christian values and principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Proficiency with recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and social media platforms for talent acquisition
- Competence in HR administration and people management
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple recruitment processes at once
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Existing network within Christian communities or organizations preferred
- Experience working in a Christian educational environment preferred
- Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is required

Work conditions
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to use repetitive finger and hand movements for keyboarding
- Occasional walking around the facility and lifting up to 15 pounds
Location: Doral, FL (onsite)
Compensation: USD 60,000 per year
