Impact Bio is seeking self-directed Contract Recruiters to support talent acquisition for Life Sciences and Pharma hiring needs in Houston, TX. In this onsite contract role, you will work closely with client hiring managers to deliver full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing through interviews and requisition management in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
The position focuses on building a reliable pipeline of qualified candidates for both direct hire and contracted roles, while keeping key stakeholders aligned on status, feedback, and reporting throughout the hiring process.
Role Overview
- Partner with client hiring managers to ensure qualified candidates are selected for open roles
- Support current and future recruitment planning for specific departments and job profiles
- Develop recruiting plans that help meet project timelines
- Create and maintain a pipeline of talent for upcoming openings through job boards, internet research, and networking
- Review resumes, pre-screen, and interview candidates while providing feedback through established processes and systems
- Work with hiring managers to identify interview locations, assist with scheduling, and support preparation for interviews
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both hiring managers and candidates
- Source, screen, conduct telephone interviews, complete written assessments, and schedule candidates
- Meet or exceed recruiting deadlines
- Proactively source talent and maintain strong engagement with prospects
- Manage requisition(s) in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Provide timely updates to Impact Bio Leadership, hiring managers, and candidates
- Maintain accurate records and deliver reporting to clients and Impact Bio Leadership on time
Requirements
- Education: Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in the Life Sciences industry required
- Industry fit: Experience recruiting in the Pharmaceutical and/or BioTech industry is highly desired
- Networking: Strong network of industry contacts is a must
- ATS: Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) required
- Sourcing tools: Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other venues for sourcing and networking
- Skills: Excellent organization and time management skills required
- Communication: Excellent telephone skills, and excellent written and communication skills
- Technology: Proficiency with computers and technology
