Contract Recruiter - Technical Operations
Job Description
Syner-G is seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to support a 3-month engagement focused on sourcing and recruiting highly specialized Technical Operations and Engineering talent for biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences hiring needs. This is a hands-on recruiting role that centers on building pipelines, engaging passive candidates, and collaborating directly with hiring managers to drive each search from intake through interview coordination.
What you’ll do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for Technical Operations and Engineering roles, including intake, sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.
- Recruit for specialized positions such as Validation Engineers, CQV Engineers, Capital Project Managers, Facilities Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Process Engineers, Project Engineers, and other technical roles supporting biotech and pharmaceutical operations.
- Create targeted sourcing strategies to uncover passive technical talent across biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences markets.
- Build and maintain pipelines for current and upcoming hiring needs, including roles requiring specialized GMP, manufacturing, engineering, and capital project experience.
- Screen candidates to evaluate technical experience, project history, industry knowledge, availability, compensation expectations, and alignment with client and business needs.
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to confirm technical requirements, project needs, timelines, and candidate profiles.
- Share market intelligence on candidate availability, compensation dynamics, competitive hiring activity, and sourcing challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and requisition details in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience through proactive communication and structured recruiting process management.
- Manage multiple searches and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, including substantial recruiting of technical or engineering professionals in biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated recruiting experience for roles such as Validation/CQV Engineers, Facilities Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Capital Project Managers, Process Engineers, Utilities Engineers, and/or other Technical Operations professionals.
- Strong understanding of the talent landscape for GMP manufacturing environments, capital projects, facilities/utilities, commissioning, qualification, and validation.
- Proven ability to source specialized passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools and techniques.
- Experience handling multiple technical requisitions at once while maintaining urgency and candidate quality.
- Ability to translate technical job requirements into effective sourcing strategies.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and candidate management skills.
- Capability to work independently and reach full productivity quickly with limited ramp-up time.
- Greenhouse or a similar ATS experience is preferred.

Location and work options
This contract role is eligible for remote work based on company requirements, with no minimum in-office requirement. Syner-G also lists office locations in Greater Boston, San Diego, CA, Boulder, CO, and India, and the Technical Operations team regularly works at physical client sites.
