Job Description
Step Up Family Services LLC is looking for an ABA Therapy Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ team in a hybrid capacity. This role centers on identifying and placing qualified BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs for both center-based and in-home ABA programs, while developing strong connections with referral sources, community partners, and potential hires to ensure staffing aligns with client needs. The position offers an annual salary range of USD 60,000 to 75,000.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess candidates for clinical roles, including BCBAs, BCaBAs, BTs, RBTs, and related support positions, managing the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Publish and manage job openings across diverse channels such as job boards, social platforms, university career centers, professional networks, and community groups.
- Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to evaluate qualifications, experience, availability, professionalism, communication skills, and alignment with the organization's mission.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, clinical leadership, or operations leadership as applicable for BCBAs/BCaBAs.
- Maintain ongoing candidate communication to deliver a professional and positive experience throughout the hiring process.
- Perform reference checks, credential verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
- Build and sustain a pipeline of qualified BCBA, BT, and RBT candidates to support current and future staffing for center-based and in-home programs.
- Collaborate with leadership to understand caseload growth, geographic coverage needs, client schedules, clinical capacity, and recruitment priorities.
- Track recruiting activity and metrics, including candidate leads, interviews, offers, hires, start dates, open positions, and time-to-fill.
- Work with clinical leadership, operations, intake, scheduling, HR, and billing to align client growth with staffing capacity.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on referral activity, hiring needs, recruiting challenges, and market trends.
- Balance recruitment efforts so that client acquisition and staff hiring support safe, ethical, high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling candidate and employee information.
- Ensure outreach and recruiting activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, HIPAA requirements, and applicable employment laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in human resources, healthcare administration, psychology, communications, business, marketing, or related fields is preferred.
- Prior experience in recruiting, healthcare recruitment, sales, community outreach, behavioral health, or ABA/autism services is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with candidates and internal teams.
- Excellent organizational abilities, diligent follow-up, time management, and attention to detail.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while remaining professional and compassionate.
- Comfort with applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, spreadsheets, job boards, email, phone outreach, and basic reporting tools.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The role may involve a blend of office-based, center-based, and remote outreach activities, along with local travel to participate in community events, school visits, provider meetings, college recruitment events, and job fairs. Candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, use a computer, and communicate by phone, email, video call, and in person for extended periods. Some evenings or weekend availability may be required for community or recruiting events.
