Job Description

Univision Communications Inc. is hiring a People Operations Analyst in Miami, FL (onsite). In this role, you help keep the employee lifecycle running smoothly by executing core People Operations work, maintaining high-quality employee data, and partnering across HR to deliver responsive service.

How you’ll support the employee lifecycle

  • Execute People Operations activities across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee data changes, compensation and job changes, I-9 verification, employment documentation, and terminations.
  • Process employee transactions and requests accurately and on time in Workday and other applicable HR systems.
  • Manage assigned employee cases from intake through resolution, providing timely updates and appropriate follow-up to employees and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and employee records to support visibility, continuity of service, and compliance with company policies and record-retention requirements.
  • Handle offer letters and employment documentation, ensuring new hires complete required onboarding activities.
  • Initiate and monitor background check screenings, escalating discrepancies or issues to the appropriate HR partners when needed.
  • Support I-9 and employment eligibility verification in line with established procedures.
  • Answer routine employee and manager questions about HR policies, programs, processes, and systems, including questions related to represented workforces where applicable.
  • Collaborate with teams including HR Business Partners, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HRIS, and others to research and resolve employee inquiries.

Reporting, data quality, and process improvement

  • Run recurring and ad hoc reports to support People Operations activities, audits, data validation, and business requests.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to identify discrepancies and help keep employee information accurate across HR systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate People Operations processes and reduce unnecessary manual work.
  • Support employee and manager self-service by educating users on available HR platforms, tools, resources, and processes.
  • Assist with testing, implementation, and adoption of new HR processes, system enhancements, and operational initiatives.

Growth and accountability within HR

  • Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures, including employment requirements that affect People Operations.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or non-standard employee matters to the appropriate HR partner while ensuring proper documentation and follow-through.
  • Provide responsive, accurate, thoughtful support to serve as an employee advocate and help create a frictionless employee experience.
  • Contribute to team projects and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen People Operations service delivery and operational effectiveness.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and 1–3 years of relevant professional experience (Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HR Shared Services, HRIS, Payroll, Recruiting Operations, or a related function preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accurate employee data and documentation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
  • Problem-solving skills to investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across HR and cross-functional teams.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset with interest in process optimization, automation, and digital HR solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Workday and/or ADP is a plus, but not required.
  • Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
  • Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to submit to a background investigation.
