Caregiver Recruiting Event

Companions and Homemakers is recruiting caregivers to deliver non-medical home care and companionship to clients across Connecticut. This onsite role is based in Norwich, CT and offers flexible scheduling, including weekdays, weekends, awake overnights, and live-in shifts.

Role Overview

Caregivers support clients by following individualized care plans, assisting with daily activities, and providing a reassuring presence. Assignments may involve multiple service areas throughout the state, with transportation and day-to-day support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care in line with each client’s individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Support daily living tasks including light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Offer companionship and emotional support while maintaining a steady, caring presence
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

Schedule, Location, and Pay

• Location: Multiple service areas across Connecticut; Norwich, CT (onsite)
• Schedule: Flexible options including weekdays, weekends, awake overnights, and live-in shifts
• Pay: USD 16 - 21 per hour plus referral bonuses

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred

Preferred Experience

• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
